Although there were older generations, these newer ones is when the Chaser really showed.

Toyota Chaser X90 Tourer V

In 1992, the new Chaser, the X90, came with two models, one being the Tourer V. The Tourer V came with a 2.5 litre I6 1JZ-GTE turbocharged engine. The "T" meaning turbocharged.

Toyota Chaser X90 Tourer S

That same year, Toyota also came out with the other model, the Tourer S. This Chaser came with the 1JZ-GE, this time not being turbocharged.

The 1JZ is the same engine that is in the Toyota Mark Three Supra, making the Chaser a fun, fast sedan for teenagers and adults to buy.

Toyota Chaser X100

The Toyota Chaser X100 also came with a 1JZ-GTE but also had two other models that came with the 2JZ-GE, the Tourer V and Avante G. This engine although not being turbocharged, still is the better engine compared to the 1JZ. It is the second generation of the engine itself after all.

The 2JZ is also in the Supra, but instead of the Supra Mark Three it is in the Mark Four, the newer generation.
